Commercial
Cameron Bosque Brookes were appointed at the pre-planning stage to develop a scheme for this sustainable, car-free development of 30 luxury apartments in Northeast London.
It features the use of solar panels, green walls and roofs, and an eco-friendly internal courtyard complete with a garden, cultivated to attract a mix of wildlife.
Heritage
This East London project involved the conversion of a derelict listed mews house into an amazing three-storey property.
The works required construction of a new second floor, new windows and doors, extensive façade works, new chimneys and a full renovation throughout.
The biggest issue with 2d plans and 3d images is that our clients struggle to understand the designs concept and when you are paying thousands of pounds on a building project this is not good enough. We use virtual reality as part of the design process to show you options and allow you to walk around the proposals as if you would in real life. You get a sense of how the completed building will feel and the sense of space.

With this being the first project like this that we have undertook, we felt we were in great hands since Grant was informative and always responded quickly to any questions. He took the time to understand exactly what we wanted and offered his own advice and creative ideas that really improved the final design. Historic park structures: Notable Victorian features within the park include the Grade II* listed Baroness Burdett Coutts Drinking Fountain (or Victoria Fountain), built in a Gothic-cum-Moorish style in 1862. The current pagoda on the west boating lake was replicated in 2010 based on the 1847 original that was damaged during WWII. London Bridge alcoves: Two Portland stone alcoves, listed as Grade II, were moved to the park in 1860 from the old London Bridge, which was demolished in 1823. Canal-side and industrial architecture like Regent’s and Hertford Union Canals define the park’s western and southern edges feature historic industrial architecture.
These include brick bridges, locks, and repurposed warehouse buildings. Gunmakers Wharf is a recent development reinterprets the local warehouse style, offering modern apartments and commercial space along the Hertford Union Canal. Post-war and modern architecture Park View Estate: Constructed in the late 1950s and early 1960s, this post-war estate features a sensitive and uniform design, set within its own park-like grounds with mature plantings. Architect-designed conversions: Many properties in the area have seen modern, architect-designed extensions and refurbishments.
Examples include: Extensions that create an improved physical and visual connection to the garden, using modern glazing and red brickwork. Basement excavations and sunken gardens that transform lower ground floor spaces and allow abundant natural light. Rear extensions that reference modernist principles, using features like inverted box rooflights and exposed steel frames. Peabody housing: Contemporary schemes, like the Peabody Housing on Morpeth Road, feature residential units with modern facades and butterfly roofs, referencing the adjacent gabled terraces.
The architecture in and around Victoria Park, straddling the boroughs of Hackney and Tower Hamlets, features a diverse range of styles. While the park itself is a landmark of 19th-century landscape design, the surrounding area showcases elegant Victorian terraces, modernist post-war estates, canal-side warehouses, and contemporary residential developments. Victorian architecture and terraced housing around the park, such as Cadogan Terrace and Old Ford Road, are defined by their Victorian terraces. These 1860s houses, built with stock brick and often trimmed with stucco, give the streets their distinctive character. Italianate terraces within The Victoria Park Conservation Area includes examples of Italianate terraces, which often feature paired doorways with composite, engaged columns.
