Innovative Retail Architecture for Modern Brands

We create retail environments that elevate your brand and enhance the shopping experience for every customer.

How we help

Architectural design in the retail sector has shifted from the mere provision of floor space to the curation of immersive, sensory-driven experiences. We view the physical store not just as a point of sale, but as a “theatre of the brand,” where every material choice, acoustic detail, and lighting sequence serves to deepen the emotional connection between the consumer and the environment. By integrating tactile finishes and strategic spatial flow, we create destinations that justify the journey into the physical world, offering a tangible sense of place that digital platforms simply cannot replicate. Our approach prioritises discovery and storytelling, transforming the traditional transactional layout into a choreographed narrative that resonates with the visitor long after they have left the building.

We model all our projects in 3d which means that not only can we provide beautiful 2d plans and 3d photo realistic imagery of your property but we can also offer an immersive virtual reality experience at our offices. You can pop the googles on an jump into our VR vault and experience firsthand what your property will be like without even putting a spade in the ground. Our approach ensures we fully explore the possibilities of your design but also omit costly risks during construction by helping you minimise changes which is one of the biggest factors in over budget construction projects for property developments.

The Property Vault

Cat B fit out for CBBA & CA converting an old HSBC bank to an office and event space. The end result has provided an open plan reception waiting area, meeting room, kitchenette, WC with a large private office space for staff. The old bank vault was left in situ and has been finished in a polished gold Venetian plaster and repurposed as a virtual reality room. The reception waiting area has a 100 inch television used for presentations and a beautifully finished curved reception desk in white fluted mdf with marble effect worktop. The meeting room has incorporated CBBA brand colour teal on the floor, wall and ceiling contrasting well with the walnut joinery allowing the meeting room to double up as a library.

Virtual Reality Vault

The biggest issue with 2d plans and 3d images is that our clients struggle to understand the designs concept and when you are paying thousands of pounds on a building project this is not good enough. We use virtual reality as part of the design process to show you options and allow you to walk around the proposals as if you would in real life. You get a sense of how the completed building will feel and the sense of space.

Our Retail Architects

Cameron Bosque Brookes Architects are inspired by the high street and retail architecture. We have undertaken our own shop fit out of our office and retail store. We therefore know first-hand the process and challenges. In the competitive landscape of physical commerce, a retail architect like Cameron Bosque Brookes serves as a vital strategist who transforms brand identity into a high-performing immersive environment. Beyond simple aesthetics, specialist retail design architecture focuses on the science of consumer behaviour, utilising customer flow analysis, strategic lighting, and optimised floor-plan layouts to drive footfall and increase dwell time. A skilled retail architect understands the nuances of commercial zoning, accessibility compliance, and the integration of “phygital” elements—seamlessly blending digital touchpoints with physical displays. By prioritising modular store fixtures and sustainable material sourcing, they create adaptable spaces that can evolve with market trends, ensuring your storefront or flagship location is not just a building, but a powerful engine for sales and brand loyalty. A leading retail design firm like Cameron Bosque Brookes Architects understands the intricacies of Local Plan compliance, heritage shopfront restoration, and the latest Building Safety Regulator (BSR) standards, including the 2026 requirements for sustainable, low-carbon commercial retrofits.
