Virtual Reality Vault

The biggest issue with 2d plans and 3d images is that our clients struggle to understand the designs concept and when you are paying thousands of pounds on a building project this is not good enough. We use virtual reality as part of the design process to show you options and allow you to walk around the proposals as if you would in real life. You get a sense of how the completed building will feel and the sense of space.

These homes, built with intricate brickwork and bay windows, were originally intended for the working and middle classes who moved to the area after the railway made it more accessible. Residential villas: Victorian villas, often larger than the terraces and set in quieter residential streets, can also be found in and around Finsbury Park. Commercial facades: Historic retail parades and pubs with decorative Victorian facades still line main thoroughfares like Stroud Green Road, reflecting the area’s history as a commercial hub.

St Saviour’s Church: Designed by J.E.K. Cutts and completed in 1890, this Gothic Revival brick basilica is a notable example of the style in the area. Interwar and Art Deco apartment blocks: During the 1920s and 1930s, Art Deco-style apartment blocks were built in areas like Stapleton Hall Road. These buildings typically feature curved facades, large windows, and geometric patterns. Former cinemas: While some are now gone, historic entertainment venues like the Finsbury Park Astoria cinema influenced local building styles and reflect the area’s development.

Post-war and modern Council estates: After heavy bombing during World War II, large council estates were built in the 1960s and 1970s to address housing shortages. Estates like the Andover and Tollington estates were constructed in a brutalist style, characterized by raw concrete and angular forms. Woodberry Down: This large regeneration project near the reservoirs introduced high-spec apartments and amenities, creating a mix of contemporary and social housing. City North: A significant new development next to Finsbury Park Station includes residential towers, office space, and a new western entrance to the station. Station upgrades: The transport hub has seen modern architectural interventions, including the Finsbury Park Bus Terminal Canopy, which features Islamic-influenced geometric panels and a lightweight, recyclable ETFE canopy.
