The biggest issue with 2d plans and 3d images is that our clients struggle to understand the designs concept and when you are paying thousands of pounds on a building project this is not good enough. We use virtual reality as part of the design process to show you options and allow you to walk around the proposals as if you would in real life. You get a sense of how the completed building will feel and the sense of space.
Its construction history spans centuries, resulting in the incorporation of multiple architectural styles: Romanesque (Norman) Style: The original nave and the West Tower are in a massive Romanesque style, characterized by thick walls, sturdy pillars, and round arches. Gothic Styles: Later additions include the Early English style in the presbytery and the Decorated style in the Lady Chapel and the central Octagon Tower.
Octagon Tower: Lady Chapel: A Gothic highlight completed in 1349, it is known for its elaborate stone carvings and large windows. Other Architectural Points of Interest are The Galilee Porch: This early Gothic addition serves as the main entrance and was originally used for ceremonial occasions.
Victorian Restorations: The cathedral’s nave includes 12 elaborately painted ceiling panels from a Victorian-era restoration in 1862. Oliver Cromwell’s House: Another notable historical building, it offers insight into 17th-century life and architecture.
