Challenged by its listed building status and conservation area location, we successfully gained planning permission for the exciting development of this growing hotel and spa.
Eagle Mill needed a masterplan to expand the existing business. We conceived a new building for a restaurant, spa, pool, sauna and treatment rooms, with additional guest accommodation and parking.
Our proposals showed respect for the heritage and local significance of the original building, sensitively introducing a contemporary-style, single-storey solution. We focused on blending the buildings into the landscape and connecting inside with outside spaces through using vertical timber cladding, vaulted ceilings and a courtyard-style layout.
Development approval has been granted and the project is being developed further ready for construction.
