We offer a start to finish service RIBA stages 0-7 (or as required) to As an RIBA chartered practice our experience and expertise at each stage is invaluable to ensuring design and build quality and cost control for our Clients. We are happy to provide any level of service which the client feels is right for their requirements, but note there is a minimum which we would expect to provide as Architects (compliance package) to ensure the building contractor and our clients have all the information and legislation in place to be able to carry out the building works. If you are looking to start your barn home project then you have come to the right place. We are national award winning barn architects and have designed barns of all architectural styles. As a practice we love working with these structures as they convert wonderfully into homes. Barns give such amazing opportunity to create double height or vaulted spaces with lots of light and character. In our previous designs we have exposed steel and timber structures and created amazing industrial contemporary or traditional interiors to suit the building, context and our clients brief.

CBBA have extensive experience with heritage buildings and listed period properties . Our knowledge has come through many years of working on historic buildings all across the UK. Prior to working for CBBA our directors have been involved in many prestigious heritage projects across central London and Cambridge. Our designs at CBBA always treat the heritage asset as protagonist and aim to enhance the historic building and remove where possible any features which impact negatively. As a practice we relish the opportunity to work with these historic buildings and develop them sensitively so they are maintained and can be enjoyed for years to come. We would welcome the opportunity to visit your own piece of English heritage and help you to preserve our beautiful history.
Compliance
This package is the minimum level of service that you will require to obtain planning and building regulation approval, providing a reasonable level of information for a building contractor to price and build from with or without our input during the construction phase.
Standard
This package gives you the same as the compliance, but with 3d visuals of your new home, colour elevations, more detailed technical design and tender information for better cost and design certainty. We can offer more support at tender, contract and during the construction process to ensure you stay within budget and the initial design intent if fore filled..
Premium
Our full turn key start to finish service for clients who want a fully managed service. Compared to the standard package we allow for more face-to-face meetings, both internal and external visuals and interactive 3d BIMX model. Building regulations and tender service with all fixtures and finishes. We procure the project, assist with value engineering and arrange a building contract and act as construction administrator throughout the construction stage.
